Ok so I can take mine out and he will sit/lay in my lap for maybe 20, 30 40 mins. Will purr and act tottaly happy, then he will start to get i guess restless and anzy wanting to move everywhere.. That is normal right? When he gets that way I put him back in his cage again or let him run the kitchen...

that normally means he needs a wee, have you noticed he goes to the toilet when you put him back?
