Hey guys ! Just looking for some advice on which hays to get from this website , looks good and there's a few varieties to choose from , now my guys have the green stalky Timothy hay and a meadow hay mix (yeah two different kinds that get mixed together ?! Normally with toppers or herbal forage ,Very spoilt ) which is softer and less stalky

So what I'd like guys is your opinions on which type of hays to get from this website and in what sizes and how long you think it would last (they get a good tray full everyday ) and if you've had any experiences good or bad would be most welcome , they won't touch hay such as pets at home etc so looking for something staple and that I could buy in bulk!

Ah thankyou @sport_billy , did that hay have the seed heads in it? I'd be correct in thinking that the seed heads are great for dental health and wearing down teeth?

It is the second one down... it doesn't tend to have the heads in. French Hay

We also use Oxbow timothy hay, this has lots of heads in and is loved by the furry bellies

Oxbow have to give that one a try , they just hate the pets at home one and I've wasted so much cash on different types drives me mad

At the moment I'm using meadow hay for there boxes & Timothy hay for eating. Which are the best ones, I've never ordered off a site before Gizmo is being fussy at the moment & refuses to eat the Timothy hay.

@Tiamolly123 its so irritating isn't it ? And then I get worried being like FOR THE LOVE OF GOD EAT and worry about teeth and tummy !

I used to buy my hay from dust free hay and I really recommend it. I've only stopped because I changed jobs and can't get it delivered to work anymore.

I bought the American Timothy hay, very green with lots of seed heads, and the soft hay as bedding, but they ate that too.

I only ever raised one complaint and I had well over 30 deliveries. One of the American Timothy hay boxes wasn't completely full. They replaced it for me.


The service is great, I sometimes called them to order when I couldn't get online, very friendly people.

I would definitely recommend getting a box of each to try.

Thankyou @Jaycey ive asked them to send me some samples as I don't want to spend if it's going to get wasted , but have said I'll pay postage etc as it does say on their website they do samples? Hope so
Can't stand it when they get fussy when they eat !
