Rexii won't drink!

My guinea pig i bought yesterday (will be introduced soon) has not had any water- and today it is boiling hot! I have done a little syringe feeding (with water), and haven't seen or heard him drink at all other than that! He eats and poops correctly.... what should I do?!
B.T.W he live in my room for now since we a quarantining him for 2 weeks before introducing him to Spunky
 
He's understandably nervous in his new environment so it's possible that he's drinking when you're not in the room.
You could offer him some cucumber to keep him hydrated. Some people also have luck with putting water into a small dish or saucer. You could place this near to where he is hiding so that he can easily reach it without venturing too far.
