Tewdric
Teenage Guinea Pig
I’ve had Brunel for nearly four weeks now. He’d never been handled (apart from his initial rescue and for ringworm treatment) before Telford chose him as a companion at my nearest rescue.
He was a flighty ball of fluff, who could fit in my palm of my hand and who either fought desperately to get away from humans or froze terrified.
Nearly four weeks on and he’s probably tripled in size. He’s enjoying time out in the run. Telford calls for him if they’re separated and then rumbles away when they’re reunited whilst Brunel burbles back.
Most importantly over the last few days I’ve managed to get Brunel to take parsley from my hand through the bars of the run, and he even ate a whole bite of coriander whilst sitting on my knee.
I am so ridiculously proud of him that I had to share.
