Last week I gave my 2 young baby 3 baths in Imaverol and cleaned out and disinfected cage each time. One tested positive for ringworm and I was putting Daktaran cream on inside of her ear. I noticed that outer side of ear looks affected. I put cream on. Should I carry on with Imaverol baths this week? Or take them back to the vet? Thanks for your advice.

Hi! Please have them vet checked; continue with imaverol baths if your vet is OK with it. Be careful with creaming the ears. if necessary discuss with your vet whether oral treatment (itrafungol) may be more effective in such a sensitive area as the systemic fungal will get into all the hard to reach places much more effectively.

You will have to give both piggies another bath at the end of any ringworm treatment when any trace of acute ringworm has gone to remove any spores stuck in their coats (risk of reinfection) and deep clean their cage and belongings again to make sure that no spores are carried across.
