Ringworm is back again!!

Long story short. One of my piggies got ringworm last year. It spread like wildfire! My pigs got it, I got it, my other half got it, my cat got it! It was the worst. We had it for months. We all had to be on meds. Everything had to be thrown away. It was a really bad time!

Almost a year on we have moved house and it is back. I noticed it on Georgies back the other day and now on my arm (which confirms it). I can only think that it has come from the vets when Georgie had the snip a few weeks back. I am absolutely devastated and terrified my family and dog will get it! Any new tips for me anyone? mallethead

Thanks piggyfan. This horrid disease terrifies me! Its a nightmare! x

One of my girls had it earlier this year. Lost a good third of her fur coverage poor lass. I dont know what tips you were told last time but I did fungal shampoo every other day including other pigs and disinfectant that kills fungal spores on all surfaces LOADS! Always handled infected piggy after the others and washed myself before touching anything else. Cleared up within a fortnight. I didn't get it but I know a guy who did and he had to boil wash all his clothes otherwise it just goes round in circles :/
Good luck!

George has had run of the house though lately :( he has been all over the carpets :( x
