My poor piggie had ringworm when we got her, 2 trips to the vet, antifungle ointment switched to dip, antibiotics, probiotics and an antibiotic cream. It's been about a month and I can't tell if it's working. She has dry patches behind her ear now. How can I tell if the treatment is working?

My pigs have patches of no fur behind their ears too and they're completely ringworm-free. Are you sure it's ringworm patches? It should be raised and red around the edges. Also antibiotics won't do anything to ringworm since they only kill bacteria and ringworm is a fungus. Only antifungals will. If you have a picture I might be able to tell you if it's ringworm (though I'm not a vet).

Hi! If the bald area behind the ears is clear of crusts and the same shape on both sides, then it is normal and healthy.

Just pop her along to the vet she'll let you know. You don't want to continue treatment if it's not needed.
Hi & welcome to our friendly.
