Any ideas on what this dark ring that has appeared could be? His brother has no signs. I thought Ringworm and so have been thinly applying Daktarin, but no improvement :(
It isn't red, dry or scaly, his penis shaft feels fine underneath and it's not a lump, rather a bit raised?
I'm calling to book him in at the vets tomorrow anyway as he is suffering a rather stubborn impaction, just wondering if anyone has any ideas? Thanks in advance! :)

It does definitely not look like ringworm to me; that would be scaly and crusty on guinea pigs and the leading edge of the ring is much thinner, reddish/pinkish, more defined, and it is not raised in my experience.

I am currently sporting a nice example on my arm from my disinfection orgy when we cleared out the whole piggy room.

All the best with the vet!

Back from the vets! Ernest has some Isaderm for his funny patch. The vet removed as much of the impaction as she could but some of it has become almost plaque-like and is really stuck to his skin. Soaking and oiling time!

Some people obviously are not aware of how important hay is in a piggies diet. Still mustn't judge. Sometimes people do it out of ignorance. My friend adopted a piggie from someone who had bought him for the children but they had got bored of him. She didn't know she had to feed him hay as there was dried grass in the muesli until I informed her that hay was very important in a piggies diet. Then she gave him hay all the time. I was very sad that he lived his life in a very small cage with no hidey. She loved her guinea pig to bits but wouldn't get him a hidey.
