My lovely little Brian died today. I came home from work and found him. He was nearly 7 years old. Totally devastated. He was lying on his side and when I went to pick him up, his face was stuck to the fleece with what appeared to be boar glue. He lived with two other boars and was sometimes the victim of a 'humping' by one of the others, resulting in a bath for poor Brian, but I am really confused by what I found today. Can anyone shed any light?

It looks like Brian has died from a stroke or a heart attack; either can happen right of the blue at any time of life.
The boar glue is incidental but not causal. It may likely even have happened after his death if one if his companions has desperately tried to revive him.

I am very sorry for your loss. A sudden unexpected death always leaves you with many questions and a desire to understand to make sure that there is nothing you have missed out on.

You are welcome to post a tribute to Brian in our Rainbow Bridge section if or whenever it feels right for you. We all grieve differently, as each bond is unique.

I am sooo sorry on the loss of Brian, it must have been such a shock, take heart that he is now happy over the rainbow bridge, hugs to you.

I'm so sorry that you've lost Brian. It's heartbreaking when they go. We are never really prepared for them to go. Hugs.

Thank you. Yes it was a real shock, bless him. Hope he's found his brother Stewie over the rainbow bridge. They will be up to all sorts of mischief xx
