Last night I lost one of my most beloved pets - Buster the guinea pig. He was rescue along with his friend Arthur, from an awful home and environment. We only had them a few months - they were special needs and their immune systems were terribly weak, but we gave them so much love. Buster was diagnosed with pneumonia on Monday, and we had to make the painful decision to put him to sleep yesterday evening. RIP Buster, I love you so so much, and we will all miss you dearly. Take care my little beautiful baby, and sleep well. xxxxx

I am so sorry you lost Buster. At least he would have known love and care thanks to you rescuing him.

Aww, bless. Toffee, one of my 3 I got from a rescue in Nottingham, had to be PTS only two weeks after I collected him, he had pneumonia. I found out later that the rescue was over crowded, the piggies were fed on rabbit food. Unfortunately, at the time I was naive. I wasn't shown around, they did not take my details, I could have been anyone. They were suppose to be bonded as a 3, which was unlikely to last as toffee and treacle matured.

I take comfort from the fact, being with me, he was PTS to end his suffering. If he had been at the rescue, he might just have died at the back of a dirty hutch.

They touch your heart and leave their paw prints there.

I am so sorry for the loss of your gorgeous boy. You made such a tough brave decision to help him on his way to the bridge and sometimes that is the greatest act of love we can make for our pets. Huge hugs x

RIP Buster

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy. He looked like he was a very handsome piggy.
You did the kindest thing for him and I'm sure he had a wonderful life with you. Big hugs. x

Sleep tight Buster, run free over the bridge.
