In memory of my boy Buster, who sadly had to be put down today.

August 2007 - April 2013.

He's been losing condition over the last week and, having had several guinea pigs in the last, put it down to old age. I checked on them several times each day and had my fingers crossed each time that I wouldn't find him dead. I came home from work today and found Buster on his side, kicking out, trying in vain to get up. When I picked him up he was floppy and light so I immediately wrapped him in a blanket and took him to the vet. As suspected, they said he seemed to have suffered a stroke and there was nothing they could do and that the kindest thing was to put him to sleep. Saying goodbye was so hard. I'm 26 years old but I still cried my eyes out and could barely speak to say my final goodbyes to my faithful friend.

He leaves behind his companion and good friend Mungo, who will eat Buster's extra veggies in his memory.

Rest in peace gorgeous boy.

What a wonderful tribute, I'm so sorry for your loss. He was lucky to have lived a long, happy life with you.

I'm so very sorry to see this, what a beautiful boy Buster was.
I totally understand how you feel having lost one of our gorgeous beloved piggies recently, I had to take a week off from work as I was so devastated - it was her heart/stroke too :(
Run free lovely Buster at The Bridge, play safe. Another precious star twinkling in the sky tonight x>>
Hugs to you too...x
