Teenage Guinea Pig
Hi guys I haven't been on here for ages just never got round to it, I have some sad news, on Sunday I had to have cookie put to sleep, he had been constipated for a few days so I had helped get it out of his bum and gave him a bit of olive oil with his veg to help him go, it worked and he was fine running around and eating lots, next morning I woke up and he was very quiet not himself in fact I looked into his eyes and it was if there was nothing there, from the time I had rang the emergency vets and to getting there he had got much worse and was slumped over.
The vet said he was very dehydrated and they could put him on a drip and run tests but she said it would be hardly unlikely he would pull through with the state he was in so I had to do the kind thing and have him put down, My 5 year old daughter and I was sobbing our eyes out and was given a few minutes alone to say goodbye to him.
He's the black one on my pic and his brother biscuit the brown one is now very lonely. I have another guinea pig who likes to be on his own, so gonna get a C&C cage and put them both in there but separate them so they can see each other and not feel as lonely.
