I lost my beautiful Georgie on Saturday night. He wasn't himself on Wednesday night so took him to vets 4 pets Thursday after work and they prescribed baytril for a Uri unfortunately Georgie just got worse, his breathing was bad and he wasn't eating anything so I was syringe feeding every couple of hours.By Friday night after a 12 hour shift I was very worried about him so rang the cat and rabbit clinic first thing Saturday and they had an appointment at 2.30.I was already fearing the worst and at the appointment Kim was honest and said it was very unlikely he'd improve.I was given the option of PTS then and I asked Kim if it was cruel to try a different antibiotic and she said no.She also offered to take him to her house overnight as he was so flat and weak and I'll forever be greatful for that.I got a phone call Sunday morning from Simon to say Georgie had passed the night before.I had to collect him yesterday.Ive been crying non stop as I just miss him so much.He was 5 and a half and I'd had him since he was a baby.Heres some photos of him in happier times.

How sad for both you and Guiseppe. You did everything you could for Georgie but sometimes the call of the rainbow bridge is too strong.

Sorry to learn about Georgie going to the Rainbow Bridge Gemma. He had the best life with you and he knew he was loved. Popcorn free little man.

😢 I’m so sorry to hear of Georgie’s passing.
We lost Broly very suddenly last month as well. He had, what was told to us, a very very low risk surgery to remove a very very tiny abscess. He was fine when we picked him up Monday night, the next evening, he’s unable to use his back legs and was literally sprawled out flat and breathing very heavily and not wanting to eat. So we rushed him to a Vet that was open that late at night. They admitted him, kept suctioning his nose throughout the night and into the morning, they tried to syringe feed him, but he wouldn’t eat and he passed the following afternoon😢 ...
It hurts a lot, we miss him tremendously, and he will always be deeply loved, just like Georgie will always be.

Zoom free Georgie!
*hugs*

Gemma, I am so sorry for the loss of your handsome little lad. You really did all you could, I am really sorry, sometimes no matter what we can’t save them.
Lease try and remember that the last days of anyone’s life do not reflect that life and George’s life is measured by the love and happiness he had every day with you. Huge hugs buddy x x

Sleep well handsome Georgie

RIP George

O Gemma I was so sorry to read this.
George was such a lovely boy and that’s a very fitting tribute.
Look after yourself and Guiseppe now - allow yourself time to grieve
