I woke up yesterday to find my beloved cheese on her side in the process of dying. It was a big shock even though she'd not been perfectly healthy for quite a while. She had gradually started loosing the use of her back legs and although could still get around, they got worse to the point where they were twisted. The vet didn't think she was in any pain but she was on metacam just in case. The night before I found her lying on her side I noticed her front right leg didn't seem to be working and she was struggling to move which got me very worried. She'd still been squeaking the house down for food that night. She was already booked in to see Simon at the cat and rabbit clinic the day she died. I miss her so much, spent most of yesterday crying and today I feel quite low but I know I'll get there. She leaves behind her 5 cage mates who have been very quiet.
Rip cheese, I hope you're back to full heath now xx

I’m so sorry Gemma that you lost her, she was such a cutie, sending you hugs, you did everything you possibly could for her

Well done writing a beautiful tribute to the special Cheese. The love and pain is there to see and feel.
Gemma you gave Cheese a wonderful life and best care anyone could and she would have known and said bye in your company and her home.
The world of free pain and endless treats are hers now and you can think what a love she was and reflect on a piggie life you shared.
RIP Cheese meet all our loved piggies in 🌈 mummys sad cos she loved you but we will help her. xx
 
I’m so sorry you lost her Gemma, she was a little old fighter and such a strong girl with everything thrown at her. You’ve been so amazing with everything you’ve done to try and get her back on her feet and all your love. She knew you loved her loads and you were a brilliant piggy mummy xx

Aww Gemma, I am really sorry for your loss. She was such a pretty little lady and led a life so full of love and was so cherished please remember that. Massive hugs to you
