RIP Jack, the little dog abandoned outside a rescue centre, starving and neglected beyond belief. The abandoner never bothered to tell anyone that Jack had been left there, and Jack died there - starving, in agonising pain and all alone - that night.

RIP Jack - run free at the Rainbow Bridge sweet boy. I never knew you but I'll never forget you. x x

Oh God I have seen this on Facebook it's just awful. I think they are raising money in his memory from something I read yesterday.

RIP Jack, you *** never know how much of an effect you have had on people's lives.

What a dreadful end to Jacks life. NIte nite sweet Jack. Your life should not have been taken in this way and its heartbreaking that you died alone and in pain. May you have the wag back in your tail at rainbow bridge.

This is dreadful, why do people do this to their pets

RIP sweetheart I hope you are much happier at the bridge. I just wish that your owners had let people know you were there maybe you would of have had a chance of a wonderful new life 8...

This is terrible.
Someone would know who owned this dog.
I just don't believe that the owner had no friends, relatives or contacts with the local community.
This had made me feel sick.
If you can not afford to feed an animal and you loved it, you would beg off your friends to feed it or find someone who could.

I don't believe that the person could not afford to feed him. They must be feeding themselves as they had the strength to carry him to the rescue centre. If they truly loved this dog they would have given him scraps of food off thier plate. Jack didn't even get that.

This person is evil. They have watched Jack starve over a long period of time. Someone must know them and for thier own peace of mind should report them.
They can remain anonymous. They should also be thinking that abuse could or is happening in the family (if they have any). It is a fact that this type of behaviour expands.

Sorry for the rant but i am very angry and the sooner we have laws that don't except people's pathetic excuses as to why they treat animals like this the better.(i am sick to death of these people getting community service).

I am sorry i read it. I feel like crying. I have a lump in my throat and i know that when i go to bed tonight every time i close my eyes i will be thinking of him.

I hope Jack rests in peace.

I'm sorry that it is such a horrific story and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it either. Thankfully it got some media coverage in Yorkshire today but we should ask ourselves why this story hasn't made the national media?? I have been phoning today asking why it hasn't been reported and the more people who hassle them, maybe Jack's story will make the wider media.
RIP Jack x x

Devonbelle.

Maybe the Sun Newspaper would like this. They have covered quite a lot of animal abuse in the last few weeks.

They seem to enjoy campaigns to get people to name and shame.

I know the Sun Newspaper is not to everybody's taste but they have a lot of readers across the country and on the internet

I am sure they have a contact us on thier internet site.

I was in tears reading about Jack last night & the pictures are heartbreaking How some humans regard (i won't use the word treat because there was no treat(ing)) their animals sickens me & justice needs to be served.

The person/s who dropped him off may not have been his owners, however they are guilty because they could've & should've done something earlier.

Sleep in peace beautiful boy xx

RIP Jack run free at the bridge little brave man, you'll now know love and kindness, there will be so many lovely people to pet you and feed you, enjoy running thru the meadows and chowing down on big juicy bones, you're memory will help other pups, i'm sorry you weren't treated properly xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I read it too and looked at all the pics because i had to, i feel like i owed it to Jack in a way, daft i know, but its just the way i see it. Its proper heartbreaking stuff, you always think you have seen the worst thing ever and then something else comes along, i sobbed my heart out last night, i cant handle what these poor babies must go through during their horrible little lives, it kills me that these people seem to just get away with things :(grrrrmallethead
