RIP Jacob

My guinea pig Jacob, who is pictured here on my Avtar died thismorning and i wanted to use this post as a memorial to him. He was a peruvian GP who lived indoors with me. I had him neutered 2 weeks ago so that i could put him with a female unfortunately he acquired a post op infection and despite numerous visits to the vets, lots of treatments, antibiotics and syring feeding. Jacob stopped eating and drinking and finally gave up his fight in my arms thismorning. I am especially grateful to Tracy at the Rabbit and Guinea pig welfare in Rugby for nursing Jacob for me whilst i was on holiday and also to alll the staff at Regent Vets in Coventry who did everything they could to save him. RIP my beautifull Jacob.
 
I am SO sorry for you! You must feel so gutted!

Knowing both Tracy and the staff at Regent's, I am sure that they have tried and done their very best for gorgeous Jacob and you.

At least Jacob could go carried by your love!
 
RIP little fella..run free over the Rainbow Bridge. So sorry for your loss hun, take care, you did everything you could for him.

I am very sorry for the loss of Jacob. He was a stunning boy, and knew he was very well loved.

I am so very sorry to hear this sad news. Jacob was a stunning little man and I'm sure there will be plenty of ladies for him at Rainbow Bridge. Run free handsome boy and know that you will be sadly missed..

Thank you all so much for your beautifull comments, they have made me cry and smile. Jacob will be very much missed but he will always have a big place in my heart! i think times like this you realise what good friends you have.
