RIP Jumbo you fought hard little man

On removing Jumbos remaining abscess the vet had discovered the abcess had spread up into his intestines, usually this would kill a piigy in a matter of 48 hours but he had trooped on much longer than that. The vet tried to repair his intestine but unfortunately nothing could be done and i had to give permission for Jumbo to be put to sleep.
He was the kindest piggy i have ever met and will be sorely missed by all who met him. We are gutted having nursed him for the last two months after his castration.
Run free my friend you will always be in our hearts :smitten:

I'm so so sorry to hear about Jumbo - I had said my prayers and kept everything crossed for him, but it wasn't to be.

I had the pleasure of meeting this lovely little chap several times over the last few months and he was a pig in a million. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

It always seems to be the best ones that we lose like this - life's so cruel.

Rest in peace Jumbo.

Oh no i read about Jumbo on your site ages ago, he seemed like a special piggy :( poor little man. RIP Jumbo, sleep tight.

He is in the guinea garden amoungst the daffodils hopefully popcorning away with with the other much loved friends gone over the bridge.
Thank you for everyones kind words and support he was a very special boy.
 
Hi Vikki, I am so sad to hear about Jumbo. I didn't know he passed on until only a few minutes ago. I just found out about this Rainbow Bridge section today and decided to take a look at it and saw your post. I feel awful that he passed on and didn't realize it. My heart breaks for you and for little Jumbo. I was so pulling for him and thought he would pull through. I can't imagine how you must feel, but please know that I am praying for you and Jumbo. He was a lucky little guinea pig to have such a loving mommy. I know there must be a guinea pig heaven where all the little beautiful guinea pigs who have passed are poppcorning all over the place! Jumbo is with them now and at peace. I know you will miss him terribly. Ricky and myself send all our love to you.... :'( :'( :'(
