As some of you already know been having Trouble with my rabbit with her back teeth and she was refusing to eat. took her to the vet yesterday and the vet was happy with her progress saying she had put on weight and was happy to say shes improving, she started sleeping a lot when she came home, I spent hours last night on and off syringe feeding her food and water, When It was time to go to bed I kissed her good night and said I loved her cause I knew deep down she wouldnt make it,

The first Vet that I had seen that told me they give up and want to die was right all along, shed given up, she didnt want to live anymore and I feel like its my fault, I should have picked up on her teeth problem sooner. What a horrible mummy I am 8...8...

aww sounds like she was a very special girl. R.I.P Lopsey. and you shouldnt feel terrible. sounds like you did everything you could and I'm sure she loved you very much x

your not a bad mummy at all you took her the vets and you care alot a bad mummy wouldnt even think she was a bad mummy. I'm very very sorry for your loss but please dont blame yourself remember the happy times you had together.

RIP Lopsey.

She was only a year and a half, I cant help but feel guilty, couldnt stop telling her how much I loved her last night, Ive coped with all this on my own, no longer with my partner and Ive had no one to comfort me as my mum and dad are away its been such a crappy week for me having to deal with this alone. My 5 year old is dealing with it very well but I'm not sure she understands it that well.

So sorry to read this. Please do not be hard on yourself, you did everything you could for her. *hugs*

RIP Lopsey

So sorry to hear this, please don't blame yourself, animals are very good at hiding these things for a long time, you did everything you could.

Huge hugs from me and Harold xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So sorry you lost Lopsey, sounds like you were a very good mummy and did everything you could for her. Sleep well Lopsey xx

Thank you , I tried everything I could, just guess it was too late, I didnt act quick enough so I blame myself totally, got to think now she isnt in pain now, my 5 year old daughter said, mummy dont worry she is up in heaven now with the other Rabbits. shes handled it far better than I have.

This is not your fault at all! You cannot blame yourself. You took her to the vet as soon as she showed any signs she was not herself and you did everything you could for her. You sat up with her and have been feeding her and caring for her so well. This is just a terrible and tragic thing to have happened but it is not down to you. Maybe there was another reason she was unwell and your vet did not pick up on it. I am so so sorry for your loss. I know how much you loved her.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, I'm coming to terms with it now and I know shes in a better place, couldnt have gone on for much longer with her the way I was with her last night it was heartbreaking.
