on monday i took 3 of our boys to be castrated all went well, went to collect them tues morning to be told that my daughters beloved max made it through the night fine and was ok on the nurses rounds tues morning but passed in his sleep shrotly before we were there to collect, i feel so bad he was only 9 months old, tues night i hardly slept and couldnt stop crying
have been thinking that i should not have took him to be done, the other 2 pigs weigh 992g and 1.1kg, he was only 775g not underweight but was a small pig, he was healthy and passed the health checks but i am just finding it so hard to take in as it was something i chose to do to try and give him a better life so he could live with his sister as he fell out with his cage mate some time ago
out of the 13 pigs we had max was one of 3 of my 6 yera olds favourites, the nurse was lovely she called me into a room and told me so it was not in front of the kids and i spent about 5 mins in there as i tried to compose myself to face them, just finding it so hard and i cant believe hes gone 8...
on a positive note the other 2 are doing well eating and doing everything they should be
have got our other single male keith booked in for the 16th, he weighs 995g and is the 2nd of my daughters fave 3, the third being hurley who has recovered from his broken leg, so cant help wondering if i should go ahead with the op or not as he currently lives alone, his 2 sisters live with his mum so wanted him done so he could live with one of those
