After weeks of caring for my beautiful girl, she passed away in her sleep last night. Her squeaks, bell ringing and kisses will be missed so much. We are concentrating on making sure that Bronwen is happy for the next couple of weeks before deciding on what to do about a companion. We are in bits but know that our lives and hers was richer for finding each other. My gorgeous girl, gone too soon X

Really sorry to read of your loss of your little girl. Expect Bronwen to be quiet for a week or so, they feel the loss just as much as we do.
When you feel you are ready there are lots of rescues that offer piggie dating to help find Bronwen a friend, here's a link to piggybank rescues https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?m...643063,-1.230469&spn=6.775737,19.753418#bmb=1

Once again, really sorry for your loss. Sleep well Crempog *hugs*

RIP Crempog

R.I.P Crempog, popcorn free over the rainbow bridge. So sorry to hear of your loss and sending lots of hugs to you and Bronwen x

So sorry,, popcorn free at the bridge with all the other piggies.....x

Thank you all for your lovely messages. It is such a sad time as you all know. She was part of our family.

Really sorry for your loss. Run free over the bridge Crempog, sleep peacefully little one.

I am very sorry about the loss of your beautiful girl! Losing a piggy always hits you hard - they have a way of wiggling into one's heart!

RIP Crempog - you are much missed!

PS: Here in Britain we have thankfully the option of dating any bereaved/single piggy of any age or gender under expert supervision at one of our recommended (vetted) rescues, so the piggies can choose themselves who they want to be with. Wait until Bronwen has come out of deep mourning, but it usually takes you a bit of time to ring around and set up a date. Guinea pigs don't grieve less, but they need get on with the job of survival sooner than humans.
I have gone down this route with my own bereaved piggies several times and always got a very loving new relationship out of it, which made it so much easier for me to cope with my own feelings of loss in my own good (human) time.

Give Bronwen a soft toy or preferably a cosy or rag with Crempog's scent on it to snuggle into for the next few days.
