Myfina ('My Lovely One') has sadly taken unexpectedly ill and deteriorated without any obvious symptoms very quickly over Christmas. She passed away yesterday morning after I stayed up with her through another night.

She was one of my TEAS born Rainbow Ark triplets; the largest and the leader, but also the quietest and shyest of the lively, argumentative bunch.

They came here at 8 weeks old and were very much brought up by their much adored 'daddy boar' Bedo, who turned out to be a wonderful (and very busy) nursery nurse for the three baby girls hell-bent on mischief, with TEAS foster piggies Essylt/Jessica and her daughter Crisiant/Krystal making up the rest of the family.

The family was completed with the arrival of laid-back fluffy baby orphan Angharad in summer 2014.

Essylt took it really badly when Myfina eventually took over the first lady spot; she and her daughter had to be split off and returned to TEAS at the end of 2015.

Bedo and the Triplets after Angharad's death earlier this year

Myfina was unusual in that she was a combination of three breeds (no thanks to the hellhole her pregnant mum had been rescued from), smooth/American and rexoid with a half-hearted aby rosette. She was never one of my cuddle piggies, but she has had a happy piggy life with her little family, who are missing her sorely. She would have turned 4 years old in February.

We have buried her in our new big pot at the bottom of our snowy garden together with Nesta today.
