i was looking on youtube for advice on pregnant guinea pis an there was a python and a por little guinea pig. the snake was sizing it up for five minuets and the owner pashed the pig and it ran to the snake. it ate it and you could hear it squeak. i wanted to kill the person they should not be able to put things like that on you tube *** if a little kid went on it and saw the video. I'm 13 and at desterbed be. after i looked at the coment and the persion said IF YOU DONT LIKE THIS STUFF DONT WATCH IT and that it was dinner time and guinea pig ws on the menu and they are only $6. its mad and haw can anyone go so low or be so evil. i think its bad enough in the wild but when they made the ginea pig to kill it and it looked like one of mine i cryed shouting at my lap top move the poor pig out you evil thing. reply if you think this is bad. :0 8... thank you!!

I have seen the same awful video and felt so upset. I do not understand why youtube continue to show it as it is so upsetting not to mention evil and cruel.

in britain it's illegal to use live animals for food. i'm sure it still happens but it must cut the number of animals suffering down. is it not the same over there? maybe you should get a petition going? x

sadly, here in the states, it isn't illigal to use pocket pets as food for larger animals such as snakes. In fact, it's very common for people to use rats, mice, guinea pigs and other such animals as food... alive or frozen.

I agree that a petition should be signed. I have friends who are snake owners who say that their snakes don't like eating cold food, and only like them alive, but I don't think that's an excuse at all. It's not okay to torture the poor souls because your snake has a rumbly tummy.

Then again, the image and process of 'frozen guinea pigs' makes my stomach hurt... so I'd rather be ignorant and stick my head in the sand.

a petition about not being able to feed live animals, however, I'd sign.

it is legal here to sell frozen, i mean these animals are carnivores so they have to eat meat, but not live so there's less suffering i know i hate to think how they're frozen my friend's snake hates frozen food, but all he does is pop it in the microwave to warm up to body heat and then he'll eat it. so that's a load of poo x
