I will miss you my little cage climber. You made it to 7 years and almost 4 months. You were acting fine and then bam you’re gone.

I will miss you my little cage climber. You made it to 7 years and almost 4 months. You were acting fine and then bam you’re gone.

I am so sorry for losing your special girl who lived to such a great age thanks to your good care and love and who quite obviously had a grand time with you.

Older piggies have a tendency to die much quicker because they are generally frailer. Once one major organ or the immune system gives way, the rest often happens in quick succession in my own, ample experience. It can come as a major shock if it happens without warning and if you have never before experienced a much faster metabolism turning against a piggy. Everything is quite simply on fast forward.

Please try to see it as a boon - their journey to the Rainbow Bridge is less cumbersome. Would we not rather wish those we love to suffer as little as possible and rather shoulder the shock and the pain ourselves instead?

Summer will always have a special place in your heart and she will always be available for a virtual cuddle or naughty romp whenever you yourself need some consolation from happy memories.
