Its with deep sadness that I have to let the forum know that Twinkle, one of the Caravanning Cavies, slipped away suddenly this morning. She wasn't ill, she was nearly 6 and she settled down in a snuggle under a fleece and slowly drifted away.

She reluctantly took over as matriarch of the group when we lost Star 2 years ago. Her life was filled with holidays, probably something like 250 days caravanning in her 6 years. From Weymouth to Norfolk, to Devon, Cornwall, the Welsh coast, the Isle of Wight, the Forest of Dean and many more.

She was never any trouble, a loveable pig that will be sorely missed. Those of you who attend the Potteries Fairs may well have met her or even grabbed a cuddle.

Steve I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful girl, she was truly beautiful and I know had such a wonderful life with you all in the Turner household. Massive hugs mate to you all, hope Katy is okay

I had the great pleasure to meet the lovely Twinkle and to witness her grooming Astro and Steve with equal enthusiasm. She was a beautiful lady. I’m so sorry for your loss Steve, Sue and Katy. Popcorn free beautiful Twinkle. Xx
 
I’ve not had the pleasure of meeting your pigs but have read about them. So sorry to hear that you have lost Twinkle. She had a fantastic, adventurous life that I envy never mind the piggies.x
 
Such sad news to hear that dear little Twinkle has popcorned over the rainbow bridge today. She had a great life caravanning & no doubt will be sharing her holiday stories with all the other missed & loved piggies over the bridge. RIP Twinkle x
