No photos I'm afraid at the moment, been too busy and wound up with things at the moment to get pics and upload them for you all to see. But hopefully will get my camera out again to catch some snaps :)

But I thought you might like to know how they're coping after being seperated. Very well in fact!
Robin is a much happier pig, and I really do feel like I've made the right decision for him. I will weigh them tomorrow but he feels larger than last time I had him out and his fur looks a lot fuller and healthier - like he's really perked up. He is in the smaller cage of the two but is very content with snuggling into his teddy companion or snoozing in or out of his lovely cozy. Makes me so chuffed to see the improvement in him xx>>>

Hamish is as cheeky as ever, nothing changes with that boy! Loving his cage layout and the space he's got to himself without having to concern himself with poor Robin who was 'taking up' his space. Wheeking like mad at me whenever veggie/run time is nearing. Makes me giggle to see him popcorning up and down his cage in anticipation for his escape :))

Coming back to the Dee tonight after Edinburgh and seeing their wee faces really made me smile. I was so happy to have a wee snuggle. Will give them a nice clean tomorrow after uni and treat them to proper loving, they deserve it after my frantic negligence over the past week. (they've gotten everything they need, but a little less love sadly due to stress).

Thats excellent news... :)

I wish I could say the same for marvin and fred but sadly I never got the chance but I do know Fred is happy... chasing his girlies.. Bullying in piggies is horrible and since marvin has been away fred has went 817 too 951 says alot I thnk!

I didnt know they had been seperated, must have missed your thread. Thats good they are doing well. I was not successful in bonding Mimsi and Montgomery. Montgomery wanted to be friends but Mimsi just kept going for him. They both live in seperate cages. Please treat us to more pics of your gorgeous boys when you can..

Yeh sadly Hamish properly bit poor Robin on the rump and left a shallow gash in him. He felt like he's lost weight and even though I made the cage bigger by combining the two he could just sit in the same place no matter what the sitation.
So I decided to seperate them. Hopefully one day in the future when Hamish' hormones calm down I may try bonding again. But we'll see!

Hopefully see how the week goes, maybe more pics of my handsome wee lads ;)

Luckily I managed to seperate Mimsi and Montgomery before they inflicted any damage on each other. I, on the otherhand was not so lucky and got bitten on the leg by Montgomery and bitten on the hand by mimsi. This was years ago and I can still see the scars! I read that when trying to seperate fighting males, boxing gloves should be worn. Sooo true. As you say, maybe when they are older they will calm down..

So pleased to hear things are on the up and up for these two, and for you obv :(|)! Seperating them was a hard decision to make but it certainly seems like it was the right one :)

I'm glad they're ok on their own especially Robin. I know the general rule is that they shouldn't be on their own but sometimes it's a necessity & of course where one has been bullied within a pairing it generally does thrive on it's own.
This does in no way guarantee they won't re-bond to each other or a different boar but i have found that piggies who have been bullied seldom forget the bully & will not re-bond to that particular pig. :)

Glad that the piggies are much happier and hopefully you are too with less stress of them beating each other up! Look forward to seeing pics of them soon!

I am glad that they seem happier and thriving now that they've been separated. I don't think that will ever be able to get them to living together, but they might enjoy shared run or lawn time.
