First time I've ever witnessed it :<>

I put him in his run first so that I could clean his cage out and all I could hear was him wheeking and this bashing noise which at first I thought was him just nosing his tunnel about. But then when I sneekily looked there he was bouncing around and flipping about - so happy!
Aww it made my heart warm as I think he really is a happy piggeh now he's out of sight and out of mind of Hamish <3

Poor wee sod ^)
 
AWW- at least you know that you've done the right thing in separating them, as hard as that decision was!

Yeh I know it's the best thing for Robin - he's putting on weight which is a good sign and he's running around like a wee mad-hatter. It makes me think that putting them back together would be a big mistake because even if Hamish is doing a teenage act, it's kinda part of his personality anyway and will just go back to the way things were before...so it would be easier to have them together for transport and such when I go back home, but it's not in their best benefit.
 
I wouldn't want to put them in a small space together you are asking for a fight, i think once separate they have to stay that way unless you bond them together again, which as you say might not be a great idea if hamish is a super dominant piggy. Jive likes to popcorn and then he stops to check that you are watching him before setting off again
 
I have to say I agree with lovely when I put Marvin and Fred in the carry box thats when it kicked off and I had a full blown fight... and they weren't separated rolleyes till then!
 
Isnt it just wonderful to see a piggie popcorning! I'm glad Robin is settling now and I'm sure there will be many more popcorns to come..
 
That's great news hun, Robin obviously wanted to tell you that you definately made the right decision :))
 
If I was to re-bond them again I'd make sure they'd both had a bath and met them on neutral ground again, I wouldn't just put them in a box and see what happens.
Doubt I'll do it though as when I had them on the bed last week, my flatmate had Hamish and Robin had free roam of the bed - I didn't trust Hamsih' wheeks and looks...

He needs a bigger cage but at this moment in time I really can't afford it. I might try to combine a few things together...we'll see what happens!
