i had hoped that with two two year old piggies it would be a long time until i posted on here, but sadly that isn't always the way.
rocky was a tri coloured boar, and came to me along with his brother rolo july last year, they had previously been rescued then gone to a new home but that hadn't worked. we promised the boys they would always have a home with us.
rocky was abit of a runt, alot smaller than his brother, who towered him in size, but he was a characterful piggie, wheeking for his food whenever he heard a carrier bag open.
the last month or so saw him lose quite abit of weight, the vet identified dental problems, and we paid to have his teeth rectified, though we were warned his mollars were a mess - they were all on an angle which meant when they grew they stopped him using his tonguw.
his teeth were drilled down as low as possible, but rocky never regained an interest in food.
we syrtinge fed him and constantly tried tempting him with greens, but all we could get him to eat on his own was abit of grass.
we made the choice to split him from his brother rolo to give him some rest, and took rocky up to our bedroom last night where i would get regularly to check his belly was full and that he was still drinking.he had a post op check up booked for wednesday and i was all set to bring it forward to monday) but it was between my 2.30am check and 5am check that he passed away.
RIP my baby, we promised you a forever home an dyouw ill always be in our hearts. we promise to look afetr rolo for you x
