Hi,
I really wanted to write a story so here it is, it's about a young boar called Rombo, and how he lived his life, i'll add more once I have written it:
Rombo stared up at the dirty ceiling, that was lined with fluorescent tube lights, which shone brightly onto Rombo’s glass cage, making him wince when the reflections caught his eye, his stomach rumbled, he sniffed the air and turned on dainty paws to face his food dish, a battered old ash tray, filled with some dusty seeds and corn husks, he sniffed it but drew his nose away in disgust, there was no point in even trying to eat them, he scuttled about his cage, his nose firmly buried in the dusty shavings, hoping to find a scrap of cabbage or carrot, but his brother had eaten it all before going off to his new home, leaving Rombo behind, he was the last guinea pig in the shop now, and it was obvious no one wanted him, his angry mess of fur was a dull brown and his eyes shone bright pink, no one wanted a freak guinea pig.
It was closing time for the pet shop, the shop keeper gave one last sweep of the shop with his eyes, then flicked the lights off, leaving the animals in darkness, Rombo snuggled into the few remaining strands of hay and tried to sleep, he tossed and turned for ages, until finally falling into a light sleep. He was dreaming of a large run, filled with toys and food, until suddenly he heard a clatter and a buzz of electricity, he looked through his cage, the mice next to him had managed to knock their water bottle fall off, which landed on an extension cord, which was still plugged in, suddenly the shop was luminous with orange and red, silhouettes danced on the walls as the flames swallowed the mice’s wooden cage, Rombo felt his cage getting hotter, there was a fire alarm droning and in the distance he would hear people screaming and the wailing sirens of a fire engine. He started to panic, running at the glass sides, hoping that some how, the little energy he had left could brake the glass, but it couldn’t, he heard rabbits screaming, terrified and being suffocated by the thick smoke which flooded the shop floor Rombo thought this was it, until he felt someone scoop him up and carry him to safety, as they left the burning wreckage of Pets Surplus, the cool fresh air felt wonderful against his scolded skin, he took pleasure in the fact he was free from the tiny glass prison, no matter how long for, he saw other people running out with rabbits, all 5 of them had survived, but they were all panic stricken, fire men battled the flames for ages, Rombo watched in awe as flames danced in his eyes, he felt uplifted, as if he wanted to frolic and jump, the shop had been destroyed and yet, he survived.
