My brother lost his little Rooney pig 2 weeks ago.

I feel that he deserves a thread. He was such a little darling.
Always the poorly pig but he was always so happy and content and such a trouble maker!

I visit my brother quite a lot, so I'm quite close to his piggies, too.
I was absolutely gutted when he called me to tell me the news...
I thought I hid it very well but his girlfriend said to me the day after "Clint told me that you were very upset."
I can't hide anything from my brother...

To make matters worse....My brothers work colleagues were mocking him.
They basically said that because he's a guy, he isn't allowed to be upset over a Guinea Pig. It's only a Guinea Pig.
One of those colleagues was our oldest brother, too!

But it's alright because I gave Clint cuddles and support.

Here is one of the last photos I took of Rooney...Having a cuddle with Clint.
He was a real daddy's boy.

Rest in Peace, Rooney Pig. We'll never forget you.

Oh I am really sorry to hear about Rooney Pig... and also the poor treatment of your brother Clint. Some people just dont understand that they are really part of the family. I am glad you and his girlfriend were there for him.

RIP Rooney Pig

Hugs to you all

xx

What a lot of nonsense for your brother - if you bond with a pet, you grieve; it's the other side of your love. How much is not determined by the species but by the depth of your bond.

Rooney was a gorgeous boy and you can be very proud of having such a caring, warmhearted brother!

RIP Rooney - you were loved and will be remembered

I am so very very sorry. How cruel of your brothers workmates to tease him about this. That photo is just wonderful and what a gorgeous piggie Rooney was...Popcorn free at the bridge gorgeous boy. You will be sadly missed...

Thanks guys.
I'm glad that there are people that do understand. My poor brother was really down when his so called friends were making fun of him.
Rooney meant the world to him.

And my brother was especially upset because Oscar, the little one left behind...Practically gave up on living after he lost his little friend.
It was a really tough time.

Sorry to hear of the loss of little Rooney Pig, and sorry to hear about how your brothers colleagues reacted, some people just don't understand the connection and bond you get from animals and pets...
He was a gorgeous little big though
R.I.P Little Rooney Pig <3
