Poor Rosie has a lump on her back. I have inspected it and it does not appear to bother her but it is the size of a raisin. We are going to the vets this afto for a proper inspection and diagnosis. Hoping it is nothing to worry about! Picture of her looking concerned and stood on the wood tunnel!1E145F97-E858-48BF-8E93-52389E4F7CE7.webp

Poor Rosie, hope its nothing serious- sounds like you've spotted it straight away though. Healing wheeks and best of luck at the vets x

Aww good luck at the vets hope everything goes ok and it's nothing to worry about xx

Thankyou for all the wishes of good luck. She is going with a pack lunch of baby corn and coriander. Posey Rocket is going to keep her company as she has a sore shoulder where she has scratched.

Rosie is fine and the vet has given her a thorough inspection. The lump is an abscess and has been drained. Posey Rockets shoulder was loads better by the time we got to the vets but has been prescribed antibiotics to prevent infection. The vet said apart from their ailments they were in excellent health which is good to hear.

Glad to hear they are both ok otherwise. Just keep an eye on the abscess as it may refill and then might need stitching open so it can heal from the inside out

No just some antibiotics? She drained it and there isn’t anything to flush as there is no hole. Do you think I need something to flush it?

I'm not an abscess queen as my only experience with abscesses is a HUGE one that Christian had to have removed in May of last year. @furryfriends (TEAS) is the abscess queen. My vet did say (before it was realised just how big Christian's abscess was) that she may have to stitch it open and I would have to flush it out. This is the size of the abscess that I Christian had in his tiny body. :yikes:

Poor Christian. Hopefully we have caught it early enough we are back at the vets in two weeks for a check up.

Hope Rosie is still doing well x
