Round Lettuce?

I am wondering if anyone feeds their piggies 'round lettuce' and how regular? Spotted some in the supermarket but was unsure whether to buy it or not. I used to feed romaine quite often but now cut back as I think I read somewhere that it's high in calcium. Just looking for other leafy greens to feed them :)
 
If its the iceberg the one you say, I don't give it to Teddy at all. As piggyfan said, its high in calcium, plus has no nutritious value.

oh that's a pity :( trying to give them a variety of veg buts it so difficult!

Round lettuce is not the same as iceberg lettuce. I would never feed iceberg as I know it has very little nutritional value :)
 
I understand you want to feed a variety. I feed the ic diet which means they get the same six things everyday and they never seem bored.
 
Do you mean like green leaf lettuce? I feed that quiet often as it's very cheap and we also use it in our food. I think all lettuce should be fed in moderation for several reasons.
 
I've also given up on lettuce :( No more white pee tho! lol! I usually have a bunch of random veggies in the fridge for my salads etc that I just lop up and give them!

It is brilliant you are no longer seeing lot of calcium deposits.

I don't think so. It just says 'round lettuce' on it. I think it's the same as butter head lettuce. I don't feed a lot of lettuce and usually only a small amount of different types.

I provide them with a mixture of parsley/cilantro (3 times a week), cucumber, red pepper, yellow and green pepper, celery, tomato, and brussel sprouts. Every once and while I will give them beet tops. As a special treat I sometimes offer a bit of apple or melon. They also really like basil which I give them once and while too.
