Wednesday was a dreadful day - as well as finding Inca in a dreadful state - Rowntree had deteriorated through the night as well.

Rowntree came to us again before Christmas and had suffered all sorts of illnesses. He was doing very well up until a couple of weeks ago when he began to deteriorate. This was very evident on Wednesday morning so I took him , along with Inca, to the vet where the decision was made to have him put to sleep.

Again as in Inca's post it was a terribly black day.

Rowntree just a couple of days ago with Laura's kind gifts....

Oh Helen, I'm so so sorry to hear about Rowntree, what a horrible time you've had lately.

He was such a sweet looking boy, and at least he knew he was loved and cared for.

I am so sorry that Rowntree's illnesses got too much for him despite your good care; he looked like such a precious little guy!

RIP - and popcorn freely!
 
How terrible to go through this twice.
Take comfort knowing they are now together and having tons of fun at the bridge.

So sorry to hear of Rowntree's passing, but how wonderful that he enjoyed life right up until the end, especially being spoilt by Laura's kind gifts.

I'm so sorry Helen. He was a very special chap, he had a safe, warm place to live and he knew he was loved and cherished. Even though his life was difficult at times, with his illnesses, his life was good with you. Big hugs to you.

Oh no - what a shame Helen. This is the sad side to what you do I guess :(

Buttons is doing ever so well here - he is a little star and a particular little man about his house! He popcorns like crazy everytime I clean their cage out - so obviously likes things in their place!

I hope one of your success stories will make you smile xx
