Its still pretty raw but wanted to post since there are several people here who've helped me with advice and such. She was at the vets for some xrays today and she had a stroke when we arrived to pick her up. I hope she's running in a field of grass with my other 8 who are up there.20190701_215006.webp

Thank you everyone ❤ She's not the first pig I've had PTS, but it was the first time I've actually been present at the moment because I never thought I'd cope well... and I reacted really badly. Started blacking out; came round, but then was overcome by nausea; I was on the floor of the vets for a good half hour. Luckily my mum was there to take over with discussing cremation details, but I was so embarrassed and ashamed.
So what happened didn't really sink in until a few hours later. I'm just glad she isn't hurting anymore and I hope she knew I was nearby.

Please don’t be embarrassed. People deal with grief (including animals!) in different ways and that’s the way your body/brain decided to prevent you from having to watch the passing of your girl. I’m very sorry for your loss ❣️

Really there was no need to be embarrassed.
Shock and grief are major emotional traumas and our bodies react to that in different ways.
Look after yourself

I am so sorry you have lost your beautiful little girl. No need to be embarrassed at all or ashamed, such a traumatic experience, please be gentle to your self about this. Sending you lots of love

Sleep well little one

RIP Ruby

I’m sorry to hear about the loss of Ruby. We lost Broly 8 months ago today, and it just brought back all the emotions from the moment we rushed him to the vet.
I know Ruby was loved and she’ll be missed.

*hugs*
