My beautiful girl Ruby is currently at the vets. She was treated for a UTI a little over 2 weeks ago and then seemed to get better, but now she is squeaking again if you touch her sides or tummy, so much so that she will spin around to get to your hand/ the area that is irritated. My initial thoughts are that she may still have a UTI, i.e. it didn't completely clear up after the last lot of Septrin. She had an ultrasound the first time which showed nothing out of the ordinary.
Mum took her to the vets this morning as I am at uni, she didn't squeak when the vet was touching her but did when my mum showed him where it was.
The vet wants to xray her to check again for stones, and possibly ovarian cysts although she is still young (due to the location), so my poor little girl has been left on her own at the vets and my Mum has got to ring up at 2PM to see whether they found anything. She may need to have a little sedation for the X-Ray as she can never normally sit still.
Fingers crossed for my poor little girl! x

All fingers crossed for Ruby, hope all goes well.
Good idea to get the x-ray done to rule out stones. As you know we are having mysterious bladder issues too. Hope you can get some answers for Ruby. Sending your beautiful ginger girl healing vibes x x

Mum rang up at 2PM and apparently she had XRay next to her name and wasn't ready to be collected until 5PM. Mum signed a consent form, but if they had found anything would they have gone ahead and operated? :{

I wouldn't imgaine so without consulting you on a course of action first. When we signed a consent form for Putt's xray under GA with a previous vet, I just signed a consent form for the procedure of x-ray with GA nothing else.

Try not to worry (easier said than done I know...) If she's had a GA for the xray, they wouldn't release her until it has worn off properly.

Poor Ruby :(

I wouldn't worry about the X-ray. Vets can not operate without consulting you first.

If Ruby has had a GA, they won't let her go home until they are happy with her progress eg eating and drinking etc xx

Ruby is now back at home. Nothing showed up on the xray, and the vet suggested it may have been a colic-y pain as there was a little gas. She isn't bloated and has been toileting fine, he said to keep her off veg and see if it improves, he mentioned infacol but said there was pros and cons with it.
