and i really can't put into words how relieved i am that he's home. i have been fearing the worst all day and spontaneously crying. thankfully he's home only looking a little rough round the edges and has settled into his cavy cozy that arrived today (thanks pollie, perfectly timed!) x
 
My boar had a "boy" operation yesterday (abscess) and I too was utterly relieved to get him home !
Hope rufus makes a speedy recovery !
 
Ooh I understood the worries! I literally just went work, haircuts and things etc to keep myself occupied whenever I've a surgery going on to stop my imagination from running too wild.
 
Know how you feel when I had my two boys neutered - wandered around aimlessly all day watching the clock until I could ring the vets to see how they were rolleyes :...
Rufus will be up and about as if nothing has happened soon whilst you recover from your breakdown :)) ;)

you're totally right about that, i think i need more recovery time than he does!

thanks everyone! he's had a bit of a lay day in bed sleeping it all off but is up and about properly eating and pooping, business as usual! i'm glad the initial bit is over and he's got a check-up on saturday to make sure everything's ok. i had a sneaky peak at his undercarriage today, it's so neat and tidy looking (the stitches) i'm convinced all they've done is babysit him for the day and haven't done the op. although to be honest, not sure what i expected... ha x
