Hello, so my 2 male guinea pigs have been together for about a month now and still rumble strut around each other. there’s no more peeing, that was only the first day. they also teeth chatter sometimes, not always but sometimes. is that something to worry about? how can i decrease those actions?

Hi!

This is normal boar behaviour and well within parameters. Please do not interfere.

How much space do your boys have and have you provided two of everything? (Food bowls, water bottles and hides). It is normal behaviour but certainly giving them more space and one each of everything can help decrease things like teeth chattering

yes they have 2 of everything and i give them plenty of time to run around in the living room. they don’t rumble strut in the hutch, it’s only during floor time. so maybe it’s just playful?

I've just replied on your hutch thread and space may well be an issue causing tension/teeth chattering

Rumble strutting is dominance. It's being in a new area and asserting their dominance over that area
