Run-around Time!

these photos were mainly taken for the benefit of my boyfriend, as the guineas were introduced to their new home for the first time today, and Chris couldn't be here. however, i thought i'd share some with you also

ever since my hellish experience with my gorgeous little Alfie, i've been dying to add myself to Layla's success stories. i think these guys have acheived that now, and i have to say, i couldn't be happier.

they've spent a few days in a neutral cage before being re-added to Guinea Pig Village (Muppet and Maria for the very first time).

and here they are:

Muppet is being somewhat adventurous here (for him, at least, as i was in close proximity)

Maria is also going walkabouts now

she has even discovered the food bowl on her journeying

and the water bottle. she seems to be mapping out the area well. Muppet, however, retreated to Cabbage Cottage when i shifted slightly :p

doesn't he look all lonely in there? he shouldn't do, as Aliie is keeping him company...

and in these last two photos, everyone felt it was safe to leave the sanctity of Cabbage Cottage, as the slaves had retreated from the village:

p.s, the area had just been cleaned and bleach scrubbed. the floor is completely clean, and the dark patches is just where the water hadn't quite dried up yet. it's not wet enough to leave the piggies with wet feetsies, it's just a tad damp. i'm absolutely smitten with these little ones x)

thanks i'm amazingly glad they're settled.

Cabbage Cottage is a 'prototype' :p Chris and i will be making another tomorrow, and he's been setting up a website. i'd love to be able to sell them as they're great fun to make. though the jigsaw still scares me :p

yes it is :p i love the shopping trolley. and the piggies seem to aswell. it's a good veggie dispenser

wow your piggies have such a big area to run round in! we have the food bowl with the carrots on too :p

we have the green and the brown one. will be getting the orange one soon, then they'll have the full set :p

they seem to enjoy having the space. which i'm very glad of, as it nearly killed me building it
