last night I came home from work and my boyfriend went to put some hay in the girls cage. He said as if she knew Bella just literally jumped in to the hay and died that very moment. She was nearly 5

I'm heartbroken I loved her so much :( I just can't believe she has gone. The tears won't stop flowing.

I've put her in a box for now and this morning I will take her to the vets to be cremated. Some people will think I am mad.

I'm so worried about jasmine they were inseperable :( I've put a cuddly toy in her cage for now. Any advice? I just hope she will be okay.

Run free little one xxxxxxxx

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Popcorn free Bella.

How sad for you, it's always a terrible shock losing a loved piggy. Your not mad having her cremated at all, plenty of us do that too.

Run free little Bella.

I don't know what to do regarding cremation. My mum implied I was mad. The crematorium will call me tomorrow :(

Jasmine seems ok at the moment she is eating a little

I am really sorry to read this. so sorry for your loss. Nothing mad with cremating pets, they are our loved ones. We have had three of our girls done as we couldn't be done with burying anymore. Huge hugs to you and love to little Jasmine, good news she is eating

RIP Bella

Oh I'm very sorry to read about little Bella. Poor love. Sounds like a heart attack, at the age of five it could just be an age-related trigger, but it's one of those things where you'll never really know. But if she was healthy right up to that point then I hope you can find comfort in knowing she did not suffer a drawn-out illness at the end of her days. What a huge shock for you though.
Is Jasmine the same age? Perhaps Jasmine may appreciate choosing a friend for herself from a rescue when you can face it. I know it's hard when you are grieving.
It's not at all mad to cremate a pet, and for several reasons. When our human loved ones pass away some are cremated, whilst others are buried (as we all know of course), and we all have out preferences. Why shouldn't we be able to choose for our pets too? For a pet, burial is free if you have space in your garden, but cremation can be a very practical option, as well as a personal preference. I have buried my own, but there's only so much room, and I think the next will be cremated. Also ashes are something you can keep, you know where they are, you can still feel close. Or you can spread the ashes into a pot and know that they are helping new life to grow, in the form of a plant. Your Mum may appreciate the practical elements of cremation.
At the end of the day though, those of us who are grieving should be able to do so in a way that is personal and best for ourselves. Other people should respect the way you choose to say goodbye to Bella, and to send her on her journey to the Bridge.

It is as if she knew :( I live on my own and my bf happened to come round last night and that's when it happened. It is as if she knew I couldn't find her if I was on my own if that makes sense.

She had been absolutely fine. Running around fine and eating and drinking well. She did have a croaky squeak a few weeks ago but that soon disappeared :)

I got her and jasmine together. I just feel so bad for :(

Oh I'm so sorry for your loss.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having an animal no matter how big or small cremated. Why should a loved animal be any different to a loved person?

Unfortunately, some people just don't understand this.

You are in my thoughts and I hope jasmine is ok too
