Junior Guinea Pig
Oh my beautiful princess Melody, what happened to you baby? Yesterday we were having cuddles as I cleaned your cage, last night you came running forward for your dinner as I fed you at bedtime, this morning I come in to give you breakfast and find you gone. I am so sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed me most. I hope that Lara and Mo kept you company as you passed away. I hope it was quick and you didn't suffer, waiting for me to come to you.
You were my special princess.
With you lovely flowing locks, you always seemed to be a more confident girl when you hair was long and flowing. My little screamer, always screaming the house down if someone dared to try to get into your cosy. You missed Colby the most when he passed, you loved to sit with him in the hayloft. Now you can be together again.
With Lara being ill for so long I had prepared myself for her going, but you had no signs to let me think that you might go first. It was such a shock this morning to find you like that. Especially as I had just been dreaming about you. In my dream I was at a family party and found you running loose in the garden. I was running around trying to find something to create a run for you so that you would be safe. Maybe that was you saying goodbye to me. Now you don't need runs or cages, you can run free in the grass with you friends who got there before you.
Four and a half years together was not enough my Melody. We love you baby.
Melody hated having her photo taken, and I am rubbish with a camera so I only have a few of her, usually hidden in a box or cosy.

Here is one where I had her hair cut at the vets. It was summer and they said how short, and I said as short as you like, so they buzz cut her! She never forgave me for that one.
