Hi I am looking into buying a run for the boys. It has to be substantial enough that I can go into the house for 10 or 15 minutes so that they can be outside for a while - it also has to be able to fit in my shed a night time! Is this possible?

The GPs have this fold up run from Riverside Hutches.

(We added the bolts on top after purchase.) It's solid and folds away in 2 flat pieces. We never leave them on their own, but we can get on with things while they're in it. 70GBP including delivery.

I love the webbing strap - what a brilliant idea.I have a foldable metal run, but hadn't thought about a strap, which is now on my 'must get' list.
Do you secure it either side with tent pegs?

:agr:

I'm going to get some for this summer too - they'll be a great way to secure the ground sheets I use for shading too !

Thanks. That's right - tent pegs at 45 degrees and the sliding fastener tightens the load straps.

Definitely thinking of this. What size is your one? :)

My run arrived from Riverside Hutches today, it's taken over 8 weeks, they are having production problems! I've got the 6ft x 3ft folding one and every corner upright is cracked where the hinges have been screwed in. One hinge has already fallen out on one side. I have felt really angry all day, devastated to, this run is going to fall to bits if I try to fold it to put it away. I could have just gone to the Range and bought one that doesn't fold for the same money. My friend says he can probably fix it but it will be a bit of a bodge and he won't have time for a while, but that's not the point he shouldn't have to mend something that's new. Have emailed them so waiting to see what's going to happen, would dread sending it back as I'd probably never see it again. Sorry rant over, needed to get that out of my system.
On the other hand the run hut is lovely, very sturdy and the boys loved exploring it. In fact Peanut loved it so much he laid across the doorway for most of the afternoon and wouldn't let Spike in. Luckily I had ordered two originally and the second one should arrive tomorrow, although knowing those two they will both want the same one. :hb:

Oh that's such a shame, ours is in its 2nd year and still going strong, I was hoping to see some lovely photos from you. It's in their interest to put things right as they must have got quite a few customers through the forum. Hope it gets sorted.
