I bought a large run (predator proof) for my garden last year before I had to split my herd into 2 mini heards. It is 6ft x 3ft 4". If I divide it half using C&C grids so it is 3ft x 3ft 4" it be too small for Christian, Velvet and Meg? I do have another smaller predator proof run I can use for Betsy and Dennis but I just wondered if I could save a bit of space in my garden and also there would be more grass for them to eat.

Hi Jackie ! IT is alittle on the small side.i usually do a time share for my piggies using the run !4 hours in the morning for one group,4 hours in the afternoon for another herd.if weather is ok ,put another herd out i the evening until sunset !xx

Yes I think 3x3 is a bit small if that's their only exercise space... but if you're short of time some days its probably better than them staying in! Isnt it a lot more effort having to do everything twice? We are finding that with Ollie and Tallulah! They get very jealous when the main herd are out in their playpen, but I dont have room to have both sets of piggies out at once, so playpen and cage clean out days are currently lasting 7 or 8 hours to make sure all the piggies get enough time to play and run around!

Sounds good Eileen I may have to do just that! At the mo the 3 of them have had their half hour grass time and now it is Dennis and Betsy's turn. Its their first foray out on the grass this year. :)

I certainly is! It was so much easier before Christian decided he didn't like Dennis anymore and I just had one herd.

I would say it depends on how long they are out in the run tbh.

So far this year we had some great lawn days early on, but recently it's been a bit 'iffy' again.
Because the pigs haven't been going out for more than about 30 mins I actually have them in a C&C split down the middle, so Lucy and Harry only have 3 x 2 and Ruby gets 2 x 2.
It's not a huge amount of space, but it is enough for 30 mins, they enjoy the grass, and then they all get put back into much larger cages again.
When the weather is more reliable, I will set up the larger, separate lawn time pens, but for the short term this works fine.
