One of my baby boars (Ernie) keeps running around and seems happy, is this normal lol? The other one (Bert) seems to just be sitting in the hidey house. I think he is just a generally shy guinea pig. Ernie is definitely more dominant and keeps jumping on Bert..should I be worried?

It's mainly Bert I am worried about as he does not come out as much and I feel like as Ernie is the dominant one I am worried if he is too scared or something. I know it is to early to start handling them and putting them in the pen, but hopefully he is okay
 
It could take a week or more before he gets confident enough to come out. As I’ve said on your other posts, my popcorn is shy and I’ve had them for well over a year!

Just trying to make sure he isn't hurting him but it seems more the fact that he is just energetic and the other one is like please stop :lol:
 
You need to let them guide you. If you can encourage them to come out without being scared then you could give it a try. Normally we say to let them settle in for about a week before trying it, but you need to let them guide you. It sounds like Ernie would enjoy a bit of a run, but whether you could encourage Bert would be the challenge! You don’t want him to be scared.
If you do put them in the playpen, then put some of their hideys from their cage into the pen as It helps if they have something with their own scent on it.
 
When I tried to let my boar out for floor time when he was a young lad, he wouldn't move, just hunch up in a corner, after a few weeks when I tried again, he was fine

I think Bert will be like that. I have plenty of hideys, toys etc so when it happens he might just go in to one

It is a very good sign in young guinea pigs!
