just finished cleaning out the piggies in my big lavender lodge hutch, (with the screwed up locks!)
is patch, biscuit, fudge, fluffly, the 2 babies sweep and sooty and neutured dominant male smidge.
they all look so happy together. smidge has bin on his own while the babies settled in, but hes back in now and got a couple of bites off the ladies when he got rovy.  ;D
but then i looked over to my other hutch and my heart sank. little georgy sat in his hutch by the door squeaking loudly. i knew why he was lonley, i dont feel bad because hes getting neutred next week. i just dont know where hes going to go where he is. all the family in their are bonded, and him and smidge fight alot and i dont want to risk putting him back in with them. put i dont want leave him on his own. the hutch he's in now is tempoary because, now hes growing, in a while it wont be big enough for him.
but i dont want to split up the bonded family, nor do i have the money or the room to buy another hutch and put georgy and a couple of ladies in with once hes netured. my pill is £10 a week or 2 weeks already on just woodshavings and hay, and the big lavender lodge takes up most of it. i just cant bare to see the little man on his own no more , if i really streched my pocket and sold some stuff and used my clothing allowance and this i'd probably be able to get him a hutch, but thats a might. I'm so confused :'( i dont no what to do.
can someone please help me?

Where do u live? as I have a hutch u could have.

Hope this kind offer helps?

If you are too far apart, maybe you could check out the free ads to see if there are any cheap, but good clean hutches available? OOps, just read you don't have the room for another hutch :-\

Would your parents allow him to live indoors with you?

for a moment, i even thought of rehoming. but i couldnt live without my georgy, he has really bonded with me. he has settled in a place of my heart that has been empty since Coco died. He is the only piggy that loves me dearly and you can tell. because when i come into the garage, he's by the hutch door looking up. i dont want to lose him, but i want the best for him too. its hurting my head thinking about it! :'(

:) I know you don't want to but I think the only solution will be to split the 'family'. Take out a couple of the underpigs from the group, if there are any. But not until he's had his all clear from the castration ;)

Its never nice to split them but it might be better than getting more sows for him- you can spoil them more :)

i might actually rescue or get some more sows, since this family is already happy. even fluffly seems happier with smidge than georgy and they were a cute couple. me and my dad *fingers crossed* shud be clearing out the garage asap.

We have family in Melbourne, australia and we're going to visist in the summer. if my dad likes it and can get a job we are going to live their and he'll apply for a visa and get me into a school, our uncle will be letting us stay in one of his houses. the only problem is my pets, i couldnt stand the thought of them going to a rescue not because they're bad, but because i love them too much to leave them behind.

can guinea pigs also immagrate to forgien countires?

(ps. we might be moving this is not definet, we might not be moving its a maybe )

I'm just saying, but I think you should think long and hard about getting any more pigs at the moment while Georgy is not neutered. Yes, he will be in the future, but you have said that you don't have room for another hutch or at least the money for one (Only stating what you said).

Also because you may be going to Australia. Could you afford to transport them all with you or prepare to say goodbye to them if you had to give them up?

I think it's something that you cannot rush in to and needs some serious thinking about :)

oh no australia :'( i will have 2 leave georgy :( if i did get another piggy it wud be rehoming. and only when georgy is neutured and in a new hutch. i will have 2 hutchs up 4 sale soon, to help clear some space in the garage.

my dad sed he can clear the garage, and i looked at it last night, and seen if i move the hutch down then move the hutch down towards the door more, pull some stuff away, i can squeeze in maybe a lavender lodge

Why sell the hutches? If and when Georgy is neutered, pair him up with a female in one of the hutches you have. Seems pointless selling them when it looks like you are going to need one :)

because they are not very big, and are really hard to get into and clean
