My piggies are inside in the winter but outside in the summer, if it’s sunny put them in their run for an hour or so. But my garden has a few daisies growing through, just thought I would check whether they can eat them. I’m just checking because each website says something different ( or it appears so! ). The thing is some say they can eat a few, and some say they can’t eat any daisies. What do I do? X

When I was a teenager, we had piggies free-ranging the garden. There would have been daisies and clover and buttercups in the grass, but not overrun at all. None of the GPs had any unusual adverse health symptoms. Flower beds were also available with all sorts of "nasties" too. I think GPs have their own self-preservation at heart and will not gorge on anything that is distasteful and potentially poisonous to them. I guess "free-range" and "free-ranging" GPs have more choice than fully caged GPs, so the literature-oriented concern you have may be over-cautious given they can choose themselves.

Daisies have never caused my piggies any problems. Clover is also enjoyed. However Buttercups are listed as poisonous on Guinea Lynx so I keep my run away from areas with buttercups.
