Adult Guinea Pig
My little hero Rupert has battled skin infection. UTI, and recovered after an operation on a Trichofolliculoma since I adopted him from BARC in 2013.
Then he was diagnosed with severe arthritis earlier this year. He lost the use of his back legs but he bravely soldiered on. However on 24 August it was an uncomfortably hot day here in York. It obviously effected Rupert in his compromised state of health. I took him to the vet on 25 August and we agreed that the kindest action would be to put Rupert to sleep. He was about 7 years old.

I miss his cheeky little face and demanding character. But I know he is in a happier place meeting up over The Rainbow Bridge with his former cage pals Maxwell and Badger and no longer in any pain.
