My 3 year old guinea pig ruttles every so often.The sound comes from her nose,and she is not chesty.She seems perfectly well otherwise,eating and behaving normally.
The first time she did it i took her to the vet,who could find nothing wrong.Now she does it every so often,for perhaps a day,and is then quiet for perhaps a week or more ,when she has another spell of it.My other guinea has never done this.
Has anone else experience of this ?:{

Yeah I had a sow who developed some sort of allergy when she was older. Her nose would run but her eyes and chest were always clear. I removed her from saw dust which helped for a bit. If it is definately not the start of a urti - upper respiratory tract infection it was suggested to me to use baby sudafed 0.3mls for up to 3 days. This helped my piggie and dried up her runny nose. With allergies it is always difficult to try and pinpoint what is causing it and usually it is never found out.

Thank you for your answers.I don't think my Kim has an allergy,as she has no discharge from her nose or eyes. She is bedded on dust free hay.It is a puzzle !:{:{
