About to drive 80 miles, to come home with an empty carry case & a box of ashes.

:(

Oh, so sad. I've been through that. Ground was too hard to bury my Suzie in the garden.
So sorry for your loss. God bless.

:(. Hope having Rodney's ashes gives you some closure and helps you find some peace. He was such a special boy. Thinking of you and beautiful Billy today x

I'm really sorry for your loss & my thoughts are with you at this very sad time xx

It wasn't nice. I cried like a baby & have a horrible heavy heart. But I have my boy back home where he belongs.... Just awful to think at the start of the month i was tickling his little belly & laughing at his giggles and now all I have is a little wooden box with his name on the top ;(

I am really sorry. He is home now. They never leave us, they are always there in our thoughts and hearts and eventually the pain lessens and you remember the good times. x

I am so sorry for your loss. It's always so difficult and heartbreaking when we lose one of our furry family members.

Huge hugs to you. These little guys leave a big space in our hearts when they go, but the joy they give and the lovely memories they leave behind do outweigh the sadness we feel when they cross to the bridge.

It's only natural you will feel upset. You fought so long and hard for Rodney. But now he is home again still in your care. As I said before just remember the good times. You will eventually.

So sorry :( The end is hard to stomach and that journey must have felt like treading on coals in your bare feet. In fact, that would have felt better. I hope the pain wanes and the happy memories take its place soon.

I had much the same situation with Redemption, my very first guinea pig (over there in the avatar). I was fortunate to find a diggable spot in the woods to bury him. It's just sometimes no matter what you do they just won't get better and keeping them hanging on would make it worse, and we don't want to do that. I know the empty feeling; I never thought I would ever miss a guinea pig, but I do. Here's hoping things ease for you very soon.
