Well....I haven't had my girls a full year yet, and already I need to find them a new home. My apartment complex was sold to new owners and they have prohibited any types of pets. I'm so sad to have to give them away. And also terrified that they may end up being someone's snake food.

What should I do!?

Oh no, so sorry to hear that. It might be worth talking to the new owners direct (don't know if you have done already). The person we rent from owns our house and our two neighbours houses and it states no animals in our lease. We have a dog, fish and guinea pigs, one neighbour has two rabbits and the other neighbour has a dog. He doesn't actually mind pets he just has it in the lease to cover himself in case there is ever a problem/damage, but he does give direct permission for them. Maybe the new owners would do the same?

If not, then I would take them to a reputable rehoming centre (the type that does home visits before they let you take a pet home) over here good ones are RSPCA, Woodgreen etc. Not sure what they are over in the states though.

Good luck! *hugs*

Very sorry to hear that, I don't know why landlords feel the need to ban all pets.

I hope you find a good home for them.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'd see if you can negotiate a waiver or indemnity in your lease to permit you to keep your 2 piggies.
Otherwise you have to consider moving all of you to another apartment or re-homing your piggies. Are there any shelters or rescues near to you who re-home Guinea pigs?

rehoming shelters or maybe a former or current guinea pig owner as theyre experienced
