Recently one of the humans in our house was taken to the hospital and all of the emergency response people can into the house etc. After they left, our two guinea pigs began to act different, after reading up it seems like they are grieving. One is chirping occasionally and the other is just kind of sitting their, we have gotten her to eat occasionally. Is it possible they are grieving for the human?

Hi! I am very sorry for your upset.

Guinea pigs are much more tuned into what is going on with their much senses. They sound rather upset.
Please make sure that you weigh the piggy that is not eating daily at the same time instead of the normal weekly weigh-in and health check. See a vet if the weight loss surpasses 2 oz/50g in a short time. Be aware that over 80% of the food intake is hay, so you can't judge just by eye how much or how little a piggy is eating. The stress and hubbub can trigger an underlying health problem.

Sorry to hear piggies are feeling upset. Sorry to hear about human being very unwell too. I hope all are feeling much better soon

Thanks to everyone who replied, the piggies seem to be mostly back to normal, and the one who wasn’t eating much is back to her normal food consumption amounts, the human is doing better as well and she should be home tomorrow.
