Sad news locally

I know its not 'Forum' related but there is a local animal rescue that was on fire yesterday and a number of poor animals and birds sadly perished. I do not know the lady personally but she is understandably devastated but physically ok. She ran the rescue from her home and the news said it was a microwave that set fire to whole place.
I just wanted to share this and send loving vibes to her as she tries to rebuild her life x
 
Aww that’s such sad news, what an awful thing to happen to someone who is clearly such a caring person 💔
 
Yes this lady is who I was in touch with when I had a baby hedgehog I was feeding up. She was extremely helpful and supportive and it’s just devastating for her. My rabbit rescue I foster for is doing some fundraising for her and I’ve donated too. She’s a lovely lady and just recently has been able to acquire a local site to use as an animal rehabilitation site and cafe to raise funds.
So very sad.
 
I am so, so sorry! What a nightmare for her.

Glad that she could get out but so sad for all the animals trapped in the house. :(
 
She wasn’t at her home. She was at the rehabilitation site, a vet was dropping off an injured animal to her home and rang her to tell her the house was full of smoke and she raced back and like @munchmonster said she kept entering the home getting the animals until they were all out, dead or alive. And ultimately she saved two of her dogs because left longer they would have died but she got them out and they got vet treatment and survived.

It’s your worst nightmare isn’t it. ☹️
